It is easy to start the process of creating a new job ad for your company. From "Jobs", click on the "New job" button in the top right corner.

It takes you to the first step of the creation process job posting.

On the left is a sidebar menu for different methods while creating a new job

Job posting

Here you will fill out the necessary information that applies to the job ad, such as job title, location, department (only for enterprise companies), job type, job status, deadline date, a short description (information that appears on the front-page of the career page) and a more detailed job description.

After the required information has been filled in, you can save the job ad, which stores the current information already filled in and creates the job ad in a draft mode. This allows you to return to the job ad at a later time to continue with the creation process but without having to re-fill the information again.

After the first save action you can preview you job ad by clicking the grey "eye icon" in the top right corner, the preview opens in a new tab.

Application form

Here you configure and customize what personal details data you want from the applicant. We at 50skills highly recommend keeping the application form as minimal and to the point as possible in order to extract relevant data from the candidate as the application goes further into your review process. The emphasize should be that the application process is as comfortable as possible for the potential applicant.

You can toggle what base fields are shown on the application form and what if they are required or not.

Nation Registry

If you are using 50skills' National Registry feature, make sure that the SSN/ID number is optional or required. Note that if SSN is required then you will not be able to receive applications from persons who do not yet have SSN. If it is optional, you might get applicants without SSN and therefore no national registry information about them.

Custom questions for applicants

When clicking on "+ Add question" button you can create your own custom questions of five types: short-answer, long-answer, single-select, multi-select and attachment file upload- depending on the answer you are expecting.

You can customize each question if it should be required or optional to answer

Add the users you want to have access to this job, and they will then see the job in "Jobs"

navigation bar

Hiring team

Users that are added to the hiring team are are able to see all applications within that specific job ad.

Limited access

Limited users can only access applications they have been manually added to. Please note you also need to manually add user to a specific application within this job ad.

Social sharing

Here you can configure how you would like your job ad to appear on social media.

Your company default social media image is displayed here. Feel free to change the picture, title, and description. Make sure your image is 1200 by 630 pixels to ensure quality.

This is an optional step.

You can have a reward attached to the job ad. This means that if an employee within your company refers a candidate who gets hired, he will be awarded the specified reward.

Preview and Publish

When you have finished creating the job ad you can preview it before publishing, by the eye icon in the top right corner.

The preview will open in a new tab and has text label that this is job preview and has not been yet published. Here you can review how your application will appear on the career site (in detail view). If you are not satisfied, you can go back to edit the job details.

If everything looks good and you are ready for the job to receive applications, click on the "Publish" button in the top right corner to post the job to your career page and it will appear under Jobs - Published.
